When it comes to love, Natasha Bedingfield says skip the little blue pills: romance is even better than a pocketful of sunshine.
"Romance is female Viagra!" Bedingfield beams to PEOPLE, referring to her relationship with fiancé Matt Robinson, who proposed on Sept. 7.
The British pop singer, 26, who is the face of Cosmopolitan magazine's "StarLaunch: The Search for the Next Female Rockstar," says the couple revels in romance, from love letters to flowers to chocolate. "In reality, relationships have ups and downs. If someone is worth enough to you, then you both fight to stay true through the tough times. Advice to guys: Keep the romance alive. Simple things like giving flowers or remembering special dates may sound cheesy but they do work."
It doesn’t hurt that Bedingfield is absolutely ga-ga over her future husband’s good looks: "My fiancé Matt is hotter to me than David Beckham! He is honest, funny, charming and hot."
On December 5, the three remaining contestants of "StarLaunch" will open for Bedingfield during a December 5th show in New York City. The winner will receive $10,000 and the opportunity to record a three-track demo with a big music producer.
Natasha Bedingfield has confirmed that she is planning to make a UK comeback after working on her next album.
The singer was accused of snubbing her British fans after she decided to spend most of this year across the pond, where she promoted her US disc Pocket Full Of Sunshine.
"I guess different songs did better in different places," Bedingfield told the Daily Star. "'These Words' was huge in the UK, while it wasn't in the States.
"Pocket Full was for the States, so I won't bring it out at home. But I can't wait to work on my new album - and introduce it to the UK."
Bedingfield recently announced that she is engaged to businessman Matt Robinson.

06 Nov | Natasha Bedingfield Reacts To Barack Obama Win
Natasha Bedingfield didn't vote in the presidential election because she's not a U.S. citizen, but the British singer does have an opinion about it. Bedingfield used her blog to speak out about Barack Obama's win on Tuesday (November 4th).
Bedingfield, who has been in the U.S. touring with the New Kids on the Block, wrote, "It is amazing to be in America at such a historic moment. Most of the people I know in the U.K. felt Obama was the best choice." She added, "I was up late watching it on TV. The news that Obama won was just the best ever. His speech was inspirational, as all his speeches are. It's what we need in the world right now. I was also very touched by McCain's speech giving his support to the future president -- he was gracious." She noted, "I am so excited that Obama won, he makes me believe in having hope."
